Statutory bodies, surveyors, consultancies, and government agencies run their compliance work on Pyramid. Each story below is the same shape: a real problem, a custom agent, and the numbers that came out of it.

The HKSAR Development Bureau drives the long-term strategy for Hong Kong's land and construction sectors. Pyramid's Engineering AI Agent was deployed to give the industry instant, accurate, centralised access to engineering knowledge.
Hong Kong's construction industry, a cornerstone of its economy, operates within a complex and ever-evolving regulatory landscape. Engineers and construction professionals have long grappled with the monumental task of staying abreast of over 4,000 technical documents — codes of practice, guidelines, and standards — issued by more than a dozen statutory bodies.
Time-consuming research, risk of non-compliance, information silos. Recognising these critical pain points, the Development Bureau sought an innovative solution to empower the industry with instant, accurate, centralised access to the vast repository of engineering knowledge.
Pyramid AI developed a bespoke Engineering AI Assistant to help practitioners catch up with the most up-to-date standards and guidelines, facilitating designs that comply with the latest requirements. This pioneering platform — the first of its kind in Hong Kong's construction sector — earned a prominent mention in the 2025 Chief Executive's Policy Address for its transformative impact on the industry.
I would like to confirm our satisfaction with the collaboration regarding the AI assistant platform provided to us. Since using the AI platform subscriptions, the platform has assisted our teams in accessing the database of over 3,000 engineering codes and standards. The RAG technology is performing well for our specific needs on our daily works — the first of its kind launched in our office. We look forward to continuing the collaboration to drive digital transformation for the construction industry under the Year of AI.

CIC's main functions are to forge consensus on long-term strategic issues, convey the industry's needs and aspirations to Government, and provide a communication channel for Government to solicit advice on all construction-related matters.
Safety remains the highest priority across Hong Kong's construction industry, where more than 200,000 workers are active on site every day. Despite ongoing efforts, accidents can still occur due to varying levels of safety awareness among frontline workers who may not fully understand or recall specific safety requirements.
Construction safety in Hong Kong is governed by a complex framework of regulations, codes, and guidelines that every stakeholder must comply with — employers, workers, engineers, site supervisors. It is unrealistic for every practitioner to master them. Generic LLMs fall short: they rely on non-local data and lack awareness of Hong Kong's specific regulations and construction terminology.
The Pyramid AI team consolidated over 3,000 Hong Kong-specific safety codes, standards, and guidelines into a specialised knowledge base. Using a specialised compliance engine, the platform delivers precise, context-aware responses aligned with local regulations and industry language. Integrated with mobile apps, it supports voice queries and on-site hazard identification through photo uploads — a virtual safety officer accessible anytime, anywhere.
The Safety AI Agent is the first AI deployment of its kind for the Hong Kong construction industry. The Pyramid team built it with the rigour the safety domain demands — and it has stood up at the scale of the whole industry.

Urban construction often involves tree removal. Engineers prepare Tree Preservation and Removal Proposals (TPRPs) for approval to ensure that rare, endangered, or significant trees are properly managed.
Construction projects can affect hundreds of trees, and engineers must propose suitable actions — removal, transplantation, or protection — for each one, in accordance with over 500 guidelines issued from different statutory parties and regularly updated species lists. The manual review process is slow and error-prone: a single TPRP typically takes at least two months for approval.
The Pyramid AI team organised the guidelines into distinct knowledge sets (tree transplantation, endangered species, statutory species lists). The AI queries these knowledge sets, connects to project documents via API, and performs automated checks and recommendations. A custom web-crawler retrieves updated knowledge from trusted public sources and ingests it as fresh AI knowledge daily.
Pyramid's compliance-checking agent has materially shifted how we prepare and verify Tree Preservation and Removal Proposals. The team's depth in landscape consulting and their compliance implementation gives us answers we can actually cite.

Land, Engineering and Hydrographic Surveyors in Hong Kong, for 25 years.
Surveying marine infrastructure is a resource-intensive process requiring complex logistics and specialist teams. ESL provides expert data capture in these challenging environments — but the manual analysis of inspection imagery is slow, creating bottlenecks in delivering critical maintenance reports.
ESL was engaged to survey marine podium supports using UAVs to mitigate the high HSE risks associated with manual access. The drone scans generated a massive volume of high-resolution imagery. Manually reviewing this data to verify structural integrity would have required excessive engineering people-days — delaying the project significantly.
Pyramid AI co-developed and deployed an automated analysis solution to process the imagery captured by ESL. The system rapidly identifies and highlights structural risks — cracks, spalling, marine deposits — with automated quantification of defects, enabling repair estimation. ESL's raw survey data becomes actionable engineering insights, with speed and accuracy.
Pyramid AI took the volume problem out of our marine surveys. The team understood both the engineering side and the imagery side — and built something we can ship a report on the same week the drone flies.
